- Note: ‘Arzino superiore’ touristically known as ‘Cascate e pozze turchesi del Torrente Arzino’ is an original, dense and rather aquatic canyoning tour in a remote Dolomite valley of glacial origin.
The descent is characterized by leaps, pools, potholes and clear water from its karstic source (recommended visit a few hundred meters upstream).
Advised descent period
May-Octobre, after snowmelt / rainfall / when the other canyons are in high flow (source needs to be active for the canyon to gain in sportive interest), ideally with sun (late morning) to enjoy the beautiful water colours and cold water.
Anchors
Natural anchors whenever possible (especially where the anchors are visible/accessible to tourists) + mono-point 10mm expansion bolts & single anchors for the majority of the abseils
Gear
All certified, 10mm anchors are placed 2021-2023 and well-protected
No additional ropes or anchors should be placed on trees or where tourists can reach them
Escapes
The escape route is obvious near drop 01-02, next possibility is the tourist viewpoint near drop 07
